IMC8 Card

Flash-Erasable Software Memory Unit

The IMC8 Flash Memory card is a removable component of the Coral IPx 500 
Common Control section. Installed on the MCP-IPx, it incorporates 8 MB of Erasable, 
Programmable, Read-Only Memory (flash EPROM), used to store the generic feature 
software version of the Coral IPx 500 system. The generic feature software determines 
the feature operation of the Coral IPx 500 system. In addition, the IMC8 is used to 
store the database backup as well as the Boot Code.

 illustrates the IMC8
