1-for-N output protection (all TO cards except TO-EA5, EA-10, EA-10M, EA-20, & EA-20M) (aid = 
MCA):

a. Automatic/manual switching:

•

Automatic (AUTO): if a fault occurs in a timing output card, the outputs are automatically
switched to the same timing output card  type in an HS slot  (OPR-PROTNSW command
does not function)

•

Manual (MAN): if a fault occurs in a timing output card, the outputs are not switched to
the same timing output card type in an HS slot (the outputs must be manually switched
via the OPR-PROTNSW command)

b. Revertive/nonrevertive switching:

•

Revertive (RVRT): the protection switch will switch back to the original TO card when the
fault clears (requires <protmode>=AUTO)

•

Nonrevertive (NRVRT): the protection switch will not switch back to the original TO card
when the fault clears
