Symantec Storage Shelf hardware removal and replacement
Disk drives
Symantec Storage Shelf disk drives
To remove and replace a disk drive module:
1. Put on an ESD-preventive wrist strap.
2. Press the disk module release button of the disk drive you want to remove.
3. Slide the disk module out of its disk bay.
4. Place a new disk module into the empty disk bay.
5. Slide the disk module forward until it snaps into place.
6. If you are not placing a new disk module into the storage shelf at this time
you must insert a blank module in order to maintain proper air flow.
