The fans in the power supply module are not removable. They remain inside the
module as a complete unit. If there are problems with the fans, the entire power
supply module must be removed and replaced.
You must power the device down, turn off all peripheral devices connected to
the system, turn off the system by pressing the power button, and unplug the
AC power cord from the main AC power source before removing or replacing
the power supply.
1.
Check whether the power supply modules are correctly installed. Inspect
each module separately.
2.
Press the spring leaf on the right side of the module towards the module
fans (away from the right side of the chassis).
3.
With your left hand, grasp the handle between the two fans.
4.
Pull gently to slide the power supply module out.
5.
With only one power supply module configured, install the module in the
slot dedicated to power supply module 1.
6.
With two power supply modules, install them respectively in the two slots
dedicated for power supply modules 1 and 2
7.
If the system alarm indicator turns off, the fault is resolved.
8.
If the fault persists, contact technical support.
Cause 6: Chassis issues
Problems may occur because the chassis cover is damaged or improperly installed.
Intake and output vents in the front and rear of the chassis may be blocked or
damaged. A visual inspection of all parts of the chassis is required.
1.
Determine if the top cover of the chassis is properly installed.
2.
If the cover is properly installed, inspect the air vents and the sides of
the chassis.
3.
If the cover is damaged, replace it with a new cover.
4.
If the cover is improperly installed, reinstall it carefully. If the cover
cannot be properly installed, replace it with a new cover.
5.
Verify that the slides on either side of the chassis are straight and
undamaged.
