Improper installation or damage of air duct
1.
Remove the NetBackup 5220 from the rack, being careful not to
stretch or unplug any cables or peripherals.
2.
Place the device on a secure, ESD-preventive surface.
3.
Standing at the front of the device, remove the screw on the top
right-hand side of the chassis cover.
If the NetBackup 5220 is powered on, the chassis cover should not be removed
for more than 5 minutes. Leaving the chassis open for a longer time may result
in decreased air flow and increased component temperatures.
4.
Placing your left thumb on the blue thumbtab, slide the cover towards the
rear of the device.
5.
Make sure the clear, plastic air duct is undamaged and securely placed over
the two CPUs and two DIMM sections.
6.
If the air duct is intact and in its proper place, replace the chassis cover and
the screw that holds it in place.
7.
Return the device to the rack
8.
If the air duct is damaged, power down the device and peripherals through
the operating system.
9.
Install a new air duct.
10.
Replace the chassis cover and the screw that holds it in place.
11.
Return the device to the rack.
12.
Power up the device through the operating system.
13.
If the fault persists, investigate other components. contact technical
