For cables used with analog adapters, there are two wires per telephone port that
should be punched down as shown in Table 3-1. For example, to make the
connection for port 1, follow these steps:
(a)
Put the white/blue wire from pin 26 in the tip connector for port 1 on the
back of the punch-down block, and punch it in using a punch-down tool.
(b)
Put the blue/white wire from pin 1 in the ring connector for port 1 on the
back of the punch-down block, and punch it in. Later you will connect the
twisted pair from each of the telephones to the corresponding port on the
front of the punch-down block.
