10.10) ADJUSTMENT OF NEEDLE BAR UP/DOWN POSITION
10.10.1) Lower Position of Needle Bar
The lowest needle point refers to the lowest point
where the needle bar can descend. It is important to
determine the timing of the needle and the rotary
hook. As such, its position shall be accurately found.
Normally, adjustment is unnecessary, but if the
lowest point of the needle is inappropriate, make
adjustment by following the order.
①
Set the angle of the main shaft at 178° by using
the main shaft handle.
②
Install the lowest point gauge as in the figure.
③
Loosen the screw for the needle bar holder to
move the needle up and down. When the tip of
the needle touches the circumference of the
gauge, fix the needle bar.

10.10.2) Adjustment of Highest Point of Needle
When the adjustment of the lowest point of the
needle is completed, the highest point of the
needle shall be adjusted. First of all, loosen the
tightening screw for the stopper. When the main
shaft angle is 0°, closely contact the needle bar
cushion rubber and the highest point stopper
with the head frame as in the figure. Then fasten
the tightening screw again.
When the bobbin is located at the low point, make sure to make the half or full-size needle
seen through the bobbin case insertion hole.
CAUTION
To ensure smooth operation of the project, prepare the installation environment in
compliance with the manual. Otherwise, it might cause unexpected break-down of the
machine.
