Support installing the 10G direct-connect,10G switching, FC switching
module and 1G switching module, corresponding to the daughter card
Mezz2 and Mez4 in the 4-socket blade and the daughter card Mezz2 in
the 2-socket blade.
2.1.3 Management and switching module
The management and switching module provide the status monitoring and system management
of each module for the blade system, and users can carry out the IPMI-based remote KVM
operation by the management and switching module.
[Note] Connect to the power, and start to initialize the management and switching module. The
system can't boot before the initialization is completed, and the management and switching
module will complete the initialization after about 2 minutes.

There are three status indicators at the bottom of the management and switching module as
shown in
Figure 2-3
. The 5 at the lower right side indicates power status. It is the master-slave
indicator in the middle when the indicator is lit after the power-on. The indicator at the lower left
side is the heartbeat signal indicator, which will flash every other second when the
management and switching operates normally.

The panel of the management and switching module is shown in
Figure 2-3
. For the description
of each component, please refer to corresponding tables. You can make use of various
interfaces on the board to perform various functions of the management module conveniently.
