Linux 6 Update 5. You can find them on accompanying Navigation Software CD. 

 

It’s recommended to export relevant drivers from Sugon Server Smart Navigation CD, which 

includes  SAS  or  RAID  card  drivers  of  mainstream  systems,  saving  much  time  on  searching 

drivers. 

4.2.2 

Installation Procedure

 

Step 1: Startup; put disk marked with "Redhat Linux Advanced Server 6 Update 5 (64 bit) DVD" 

into  CD-ROM,  then  startup  from  CD;  please  adopt  Linux  dd  mode  to  load  hard  disk  drivers  if 

needed. 

Step  2:  Select  "Skip"  to  skip  disk  testing;  please  select  "OK"  if  users  want  to  test  the 

completeness of system CD. 

Note: 

Disk testing will cost a relatively long time; please wait patiently. 

Step 3: When testing completed, click "Next" on the shown interface. 

Step 4: On language selection interface, users can click "Next" to select the required language. 

Step 5: On keyboard layout interface, select the corresponding keyboard layout, then click "Next". 

Step 6: Afterwards, it may prompt you to input serial number; users can input serial numbers as 

required. 

Step 7: Initiate hard disk data; select "Yes", then click "Next". 

Step 8: When hard disk partition interface appears, users can select the corresponding hard disk 

to  create  different  partition;  this  manual  takes  one  hard  disk  as  an  example;  select  "Create 

Custom layout", and click 

“Next”. 

Step  9:  Users  can  create  different  partition  according  to  their  needs;  this  manual  creates  root 

partition, /boot partition and swap partition, and click 

“Next”. 

Step 10: On 

“Boot Loader Configuration” interface, you can select whether to install boot loader, 

and click 

“Next”. 

Step 11: Select the method for network card to obtain IP and set up Hostname of Host, and click 

“Next”. 

Step 12: On Time Zone Selection interface, select "Asia/Shanghai", and click 

“Next”. 

Step 13: On root account password configuration interface, input root administrator password in 

“Root Password” , and input it again in “Confirm” to confirm. Administrator password is at least 6 

digits. 

Step 14: When selecting installation software package, check 

“Customize now”, and click “Next”. 

Step 15: Select package to be installed, and click 

“Next”. 

Step  16: Wait  for  installation  program  to  check  the  relevance  of  installation  package,  and  click 

“Next” to begin the installation. 

Step 17: Wait for installation to complete, and click 

“Reboot”. 

Step 18: The Configuration interface appears, and select 

“Forward”.
