12 POSTIONING FOR INSTALLATION

The S-ASX 30

– 50 air source heat pumps are designed for indoor and outdoor installation.

Failure to comply with any of the following points within this chapter will result in poor performance or activation of any
safety devices.

12.1

Indoor Installation

With an indoor installation, air ducts must be fitted to the air supply and air exhaust connections.

The required ducting is a non Strebel supply. The ducting must run from the heat pump direct to outside air.
This will need to be supplied and sized by a specialist

– see chapter 12.4.

12.2

Outdoor Installation

With an outdoor installation, air ducts must be fitted to the air supply and air exhaust connections.
