19 DOMESTIC HOT WATER MANAGEMENT
The domestic hot water (DHW) is controlled by a water temperature sensor (B3) installed into the DHW cylinder and 2
different setpoints (nominal & reduced) enabled as a function of the selected switch mode (24 h/day) or as a function
of a hourly program switch for DHW).
The DHW charging is stopped when the DHW temperature within the cylinder has matched its setpoint
(nominal or reduced) and restarts when the temperature is less that the setpoint minus the selected differential
(Parameter 5024).
If the heat pump cannot complete the DHW charging, the immersion heater (K6 if installed) in the DHW cylinder can
complete the charging process.
With the heat pump charging in DHW mode, it cannot charge the CH installation therefore if there is a high DHW
demand, the CH temperature will drop whilst the heat pump is charging the DHW tank. It is possible to set a maximum
DHW charging time (parameter 5030) which if there is a CH request, the DHW charging will stop and the heat pump
switches to serve the CH installation for the same duration
– this cycle is repeated until the DHW setpoint is met.
It is possible to manage anti legionella cycles setting the logic (fixed time intervals or a fixed day per week), the activation
hour and the setpoint. It is also possible to manage a DHW recirculation pump.
