Condensate Drain Connection
In both CH and DHW mode, the S-ASX heat pump can produce condensate and the quantity of condensate
produced will depend on the outside air temperature, the working temperatures, and the total working hours.
This condensate in exceptionally low outside air temperatures can freeze therefore the heat pump will need
to be installed with certain measures put in place to prevent a slipping hazard.
All S-ASX 30 -50 heat pump models come with a condense tray within the casing to collect condense generated by
the finned coil when in operation.
The condense tray is located under the coil and is equipped with threaded fitting.
Remove the heat pump panels under the coil and connect a condensate discharge pipe to the threaded fittings.
Use the premade hole in the central panel to let the discharge pipe exit from the heat pump. Blockage of this drain
might damage the heat pump.
The drain connection is correct when the condensate can be seen flowing away, e.g. using a funnel. Any damage that
might occur, when the drain is not installed correctly, is not covered by
our manufacturer’s warranty. There should be
an open connection of the condensate hose into the sewage system. A possible vacuum in the sewage system must
never give the opportunity to suck on the condensate drainpipe.
Use only plastic parts with the condensate drain
– metal lines are not allowed

Minimum Water Content
– Primary Heating Circuit
The S-ASX 30
– 50 heat pumps require a minimum water content within the primary circuit to guarantee correct
operation. The correct water content within the primary circuit will reduce the number of stop and start (hunting) of the
internal compressors which will extend the life of the heat pump and allows a reduction of the hot water temperature
during the defrost cycle.
The recommended water content is 15 litre per kW and the absolute minimum is 10 litres per kW:
