12.3 Plinth / Base
It is recommended that the S-ASX 30
– 50 heat pump is installed on a mounting plinth / base, levelled perfectly
horizontal, with a size similar to the heat pump footprint and must be able to support the overall filled weight listed
below (includes the weight of the DHW 3 port valve):

Although the heat pumps vibration is low, to lower the vibrations further, it is possible to install, between the base of
the heat pump and the floor, either a strip of hard rubber or rubber vibration dampers (available as an accessory) to
reduce the transmission generated by the compressor and the fans.
Do NOT place the heat pump on a dark surface (for example a tarred surface) to avoid the risk of overheating during
normal operation.
12.4 Within Enclosures
The S-ASX 30
– 50 heat pumps can be installed in low pressure drop enclosures as long as the minimum clearances
are respected. The below table shows the nominal air flow of each model and the maximum resistance the fans can
overcome after flowing through the heat pump coil.
