Commissioning

NOTE

Gel batteries are subject to special char-

ging/maintenance/handling instructions. The

guidelines from the respective manufacturer

must be observed.

Incorrect battery chargers can cause total battery

failure.

Commissioning

If your truck is equipped with a Euro battery

male connector, make sure that the voltage

index pin is in the correct position. The set

voltage can be read through a display window

(1).

CAUTION

Risk of accident, risk of injury from crushing and

shear points
Before each shift, you must:
– Check that the battery lock is in perfect condition

and functions correctly

– Make sure that the battery lock swing bolt is

always actuated by hand

– Make sure that ﬁngers are not placed in the

rotation or clamping range of the swing bolt.

The battery must be commissioned properly

before being used for the ﬁrst time. If the bat-

tery was obtained separately from the truck,

the following must be checked particularly

carefully:
• The nominal voltage
• The minimum required weight
• The model and design of the battery male

connector ﬁtted

• The minimum required cross-section and

the connection type of the battery cable.

Please follow the information and guidelines

from the battery manufacturer precisely in

each case.
