8.3

Emergency lowering provision

In an emergency, whereby it is not possible to lower the vehicle lift from the control 
panel, the vehicle lift can be lowered manually.

Warning

w

The emergency lowering procedure may only be carried out by competent personnel 
who are familiar with the procedure.

8.3.1

Emergency lowering with 24V connection

The control box is equipped with a 24V emergency power connection (fast on type 
connectors). 

1.

In case of power failure connect a 24V (or 2x 12 V in series) battery to this power 
point. It is now possible to lower the lift with all safety functions active.

2.

Press all 4 buttons <S1> through <S4> (on the printed circuit board in the control 
box) at the same time.

Before lowering, all mechanical safety catches must be free moving. If this is not the 
case, lift the corresponding track by means of a hydraulic jack. Then, while activating 
the unlock solenoid by pushing the corresponding <S> button, lower the jack about 
1" (25 mm). After having released all safety catches, proceed lowering as described 
before.

8.3.2

Manual emergency lowering

Unlock the safety catches as follows:

1.

Lift the safety catch with a screwdriver.
In case it is not possible to release the safety catch, lift the track by means of a 
hydraulic jack to lift the lock from its locking position.

2.

Place a spacer with a thickness of 1/16" (1 mm) or 1/8" (2 mm) in between the teeth.

3.

Repeat this for the other legs. 
All safety catches are now released and the locking mechanism is no longer 
operational.

Lowering

To lower the lift, the lowering valves have to be activated. This can be performed by 
the turning knob on the valves.

It is possible that the legs might run out of level. This can be corrected by separately 
closing the valve at the lowest side.
