Each lifting device is provided with a position measuring device (inclinometer) and
an electro-pneumatic-mechanical fall prevention system (safety catch). The control
system receives signals from the 4 inclinometer units, mounted on a pull rod of the
scissor construction. With the data of the inclinometers, the control system will
calculate and synchronisize the height of the 4 lifting devices.
During raising and lowering, the control system regulates the following:
• When raising, height differences are corrected by opening the lowering valve of
the cylinder with the highest position. This results in stopping of the movement of
this cylinder, which enables the rest to reach the same level. When lowering, the
lowering valve of the cylinder with the lowest position is closed until the rest is at
the same level. Activation happens with height differences greater than
1” (25 mm). Correction is active until the height difference is max. 3/8” (10 mm).
• Interrupted lifting in the event of height differences of more than 1 9/16" (40 mm).
If height differences occur during lifting, then the lift is probably overloaded at one
end of the tracks. The lowering function will still be operational. It is possible that
height differences occur during lowering into the locking system. It is possible that
one of the safety catches missed the tooth of the locking profile. The lift-stop
function can be overruled for 2 seconds by operating the <overrule> button and
then the <lifting> button.
• Interrupted lowering in the event of height differences of more than 2 3/16"
(55 mm). Obstacles underneath the tracks can cause height differences. Lifting
can eliminate the height difference. The lift-stop function can be overruled for 2
seconds by operating the <overrule> button and then the <lifting> button.
• The interruption of the supply power to the outputs (valves, safety catch solenoids
and motors) when during operation height differences occur of more than 2 3/4"
(70 mm).
• The interruption of the supply power to the outputs (valves, safety catch solenoids
and motors) when during stand-by, height differences occur of more than 3 1/8"
(80 mm).
