3.9.3. Display gearbox
The display shows information about the relevant status and/or the actual gear.
Regular messages display gearbox
Table 3-6 explains the regular messages on the display gearbox.
Message Description
Gearbox enabled in neutral (N) .
Gearbox enabled in forward drive (D) and automatic mode .
In automatic mode all horizontal beams and arrow heads are shown.
The figure shows the current gear (1 to 12).
Gearbox enabled in forward drive (D) and manual mode .
The figure shows the current gear (1 to 12).
In manual mode the most ideal gear is advised.
This is represented by the horizontal beams and arrow heads.
Each beam represents one gear.

Example 1 : gearbox in 5

gear and advised to switch forward to 6
th
gear;

Example 2 : gearbox in 6
th
gear and advised to switch back to
3
rd
gear.
Gearbox enabled in backward / reverse (R) .
RL = 1

gear backwards ( Rear Low );
RH = 2
nd
gear backwards ( Rear High ).
Gearbox enabled in manoeuvre forward (DM) .
Gearbox enabled in manoeuvre backward (RM) .
The electronics of the gearbox perform a self check ( CHeck ).
Active after turning the engine on.
Gearbox enabled in neutral (N) .
