Double-click ENSONIQ AudioPCI™.

Select the Settings tab.
5.
Uncheck “Legacy Emulation Enabled” to disable the AudioPCI™
Legacy Device. Uncheck “Joystick Port Enabled” to disable the
Gameport Joystick.
6.
Click
OK
to apply the changes
Note: If the Legacy Emulation is disabled in the Device Manager, MS-
DOS Mode and MS-DOS Prompt applications will not be able to use the
AudioPCI™ card for sound or music.
Uninstalling the AudioPCI™
The Install Wizard includes a remove only option. To uninstall the
AudioPCI™ and its software follow the steps below.
1.
Open the Run dialog box by clicking on
Start
Run
…
2.
Insert the HOT-255 Installation CD.
3.
In the Run dialog box type or
Browse…
to the path of the Install
Wizard media followed by INST255.EXE to start the program.
( i.e., D:\INST255.EXE )
4.
The “Spacewalker Install Launcher” will appear, click “Install” but-
ton, the Install dialog will appear and then click “Install Driver for
Windows 95 / DOS” button. ( In the mean time, the Install program
will detect the existence of HOT-255, if HOT-255 doesn’t exist, an
error message will display ).
5.
The Welcome dialog will appear. Click
Next
.
6.
The Install Wizard options will appear. To remove the drivers on
your system select “Remove Software”, then click
Next
.
7.
Click
Finish
to close the Install Wizard.
Note: The Install Wizard’s “Remove Software” procedure will remove all
Windows 95 and MS-DOS drivers you may have installed, but it puts sys-
tem integrity over the removal of AudioPCI™ components. Some
AudioPCI™ components may remain after the removal is complete.
