When the menu item “005: SERVO/AV REFERENCE
select” in the VTR SETUP menu is set to “ext.”, input
external reference signal to the REF. INPUT 1 connector
on both the player and the recorder.

Set the VTR SETUP menu items on the player and
recorder as follows.
Player:
Set sub item “SDI mode” in “B01: NW I/O mode” to
“DUB”.
Recorder:
• Set sub item “SDI mode” in “B01: NW I/O mode” to
“MON”.
• Set “607: TCG REGENE SOURCE select” to “ext-
LTC”.
When sub item “SDI mode” in “B01: NW I/O mode”
is set to “DUB”, a 4:2:2 YUV monitor signal is output
from the AUX OUTPUT B connector.

Insert the original cassette into the player, and insert a
recordable cassette into the recorder.

Start playback on the player, and then start recording
on the recorder.
• In the case of uncompressed data, import or export
cannot be carried out when sub item “SDI mode” in
“B01: NW I/O mode” in the VTR SETUP menu is set to
“DUB”. Be sure to set this item to “MON” after dubbing
finishes.
• In the case of the 3G-SDI format, this board does not
support dubbing through the AUX connectors.
