AoIP Source Select –
There are 8 transmit sources on the AVN-TB20AR and
AVN-TB20AD. These are for the microphone/headset input (mic), the 3
analogue audio inputs on the rear panel (Input 1-3), the S/PDIF input which
is also on the rear panel (S/PDIF) and the 3 IFB streams that can be sourced
from a local audio input or from a remote AoIP stream (IFB 1-3). These AoIP
source streams are always active and cannot be disabled. This drop down
list selects the transmit source to view and edit.
AoIP Stream Name Prefix
– The AoIP stream name prefix forms part of the
AoIP stream name which will be displayed on remote devices when
searching for AoIP streams. This stream name is comprised of the AoIP
stream name prefix, set here for the selected transmit source, and the
intercom name. For example, if the default input 1 AoIP stream name prefix
“Input1” is used, and the intercom name is set to “DEMO-USER”, the
adversed AoIP stream name would be “Input1@DEMO-USER”. The AoIP
stream name prefix must be unique for each transmit source.
DSCP
– The DSCP or Differenated Services Code Point value is used by
DiffServ to control the precedence of outgoing AoIP data packets for the
selected transmit source. Network hardware can use this value to ensure
audio data has higher priority over other network traffic. See
DSCP Names & Their Corresponding IP Precedence
on page 73 for more
informaon.
Multicast IP Address
– The mulcast IP address is the IPv4 mulcast
desnaon address for the selected transmit source. Remote network
devices that are configured to receive this source will use this IP address to
access the audio data. It is important to ensure that the IP address entered
here is unique on the network as AoIP stream sources cannot share the
same mulcast IP address. Mulcast IP addresses should be within the
range 224.0.0.0 to 239.255.255.255. If the Auto Mulcast opon on the
Mute
– This checkbox mutes the audio on the selected transmit source.
This opon is not available for the mic source.
Trim
– The audio level of the selected transmit source can be adjusted by
±12dB. This opon is not available for the mic source.
IFB Source
– This opon selects the audio source for the selected IFB
transmit stream. This can be a local audio input or an AoIP stream. This
opon is only available for IFB sources.
IFB Audio Input
– This opon selects the local audio input for the selected
IFB transmit stream when the source is set to audio input. This opon is
unavailable when the IFB source is set AoIP stream.
IFB AoIP Stream
– This seng is the name of the AoIP stream that will be
routed to the selected IFB transmit stream when the IFB source is set to
AoIP stream. For streams sourced from other AVN intercom devices, the
stream name is comprised of the AoIP stream name prefix and the intercom
name. For example, if the required AoIP stream, called “Input1”, is being
transmied from an intercom unit with the name “DEMO-SOURCE”, the
AoIP stream name would be “Input1@DEMO-SOURCE”. This name can be
entered manually, or it can be selected from the dynamic list of available
AoIP streams detailed below. This opon is unavailable when the IFB source
is set to audio input.
Available AoIP Streams
– This dynamic drop down list shows the AoIP
streams that are currently visible on the network. Selecng an AoIP stream
from this list places the name into the IFB AoIP Stream edit box. This opon
is unavailable when the IFB source is set to audio input.
IFB Talkback Mode
– This seng controls how the audio level of the
selected IFB source is modified when an intercom channel is acve. There
are 3 opons, the level of the IFB source is either muted, reduced by 75% or
reduced by 50%.
