Intercom Calls with IFB

7. Intercom Calls with IFB
Several models in the AVN Talkback range, including the AVN-TB20AR and
AVN-TB20AD, can generate specific IFB AoIP streams. The content of the IFB
feed is fully configurable as is the talk mode which determines how the
audio in the IFB feed is modified when a call is acve. As the content of the
IFB stream is controlled by the unit generang the feed, the stream can be
used by remote AoIP receiving devices without the need for them to control
and mix mulple audio streams. See the
web page on
page 30 for details. These IFB streams from remote units can by assigned to
the channel buons on the AVN-TB20AR and AVN-TB20AD by enabling the
channel IFB mode. See the
web page on page
36 for more details. With IFB mode enabled, the selected IFB feed from the
remote unit will be heard in the headphones and through the speaker when
the channel is idle, and the channel buon will flash briefly in the colour
assigned to listen buons. Once a call is iniated and connected, the
remote unit will modify the audio content of the IFB stream and the
receiver will hear the required interrupt audio. Intercom calls with IFB are
controlled in exactly the same way as normal intercom calls.
