During a Call
When an intercom call is connected, the channel buon is illuminated using
the colour assigned to the call type. The intercom unit that iniates the call
always dictates the call type. The call status on the OLED display will be
highlighted and the channel number and intercom name of the connected
unit will be shown – see Fig 6-3. If mulple calls are acve at the same me,
the display will cycle through the details of each call. If a new call request is
made or received, the display will also cycle through these details.
Fig 6-3: Acve Call Screen
If a monitor channel is acve when an intercom call is connected, the audio
routed to the headphones or speaker from the selected monitor source is
automacally muted or dimmed according to the selected monitor sengs.
See the
Audio - Monitor & Speaker Sengs
web page on page 44 for
details.
Ending a Call
An acve call can be terminated by either party. To end a call, press the
illuminated channel buon. The call is ended immediately, the buon
illuminaon is turned off, and the call details are removed from the OLED
display. If there are no other acve or requested calls, the display call
highlight is returned to its lowlight state. Any acve monitor channels will
return to their normal state when all calls have ended.
Group Calls
Intercom calls can be made simultaneously to mulple remote units using
the group talk funcon. There are 3 group talk sets available which can
include any combinaon of channels, see the
web page on page
39 for details. Group calls are selected by assigning a group talk set to one
of the user buons, see the
web page on page
41 for details. The user buon, linked to a group talk set, can then be used
to make or end a group call.
Call Signal
The call signal provides an audible indicaon that an incoming call is waing
to be answered. It can be heard in the headphones and through the
speaker. If the call signal is not required, it can be turned off. See the
web page on page 36 for details.
Auto Answer
The auto answer opon is individually configurable for each channel. An
incoming call request on a channel that has this opon enabled will connect
immediately. To change the auto answer sengs, see the
web page on page 36 for details.
Listen Button
Each channel has a default funcon opon that selects the type of call that
is iniated when the corresponding channel buon is pressed. See
web page on page 36 for details. The front
panel listen buon can be used to change the default call funcon to listen
only, talk and listen or talk forced listen. To override the default funcon for
a channel, press the listen buon. The first press will select listen only, and
the buon will illuminate using the colour assigned to listen buons. A
second press will select talk and listen, and the buon will illuminate using
the colour assigned to talk and listen buons. A third press will select talk
forced listen, and the buon will flash alternately using the colours assigned
to both talk and listen buons. A fourth press will cancel the listen funcon
and the buon illuminaon will turn off. Once the listen buon indicates
the required call funcon, press a channel buon to call the assigned unit.
