5.3.3.1.1 BATTERY 

Battery life 

The battery makes it possible to save the user set data in the PLC memory, when the 
barfeeder is switched off. Under normal operation the battery life is approx. 5 years. Battery 
condition is displayed in the status bar. 

 

 

After expiration of the assumed battery life, it is desirable to replace 

it preventively, even if the battery status indicator has not indicates 

the end of its life. Thus you avoid eventual complications. 

 

Battery replacement 

 

PLC is not equipped with a capacitor which ensures memory power 

supply during replacement of the battery.  

PLC  must be ON at battery replacement!!! 

 

•

  Slacken fixing screws in 4 orange mounts 5.4/1. 

•

  Apply pressure on the mounts in direction toward the PLC front panel to disconnect them 

from the PLC.  

•

  Remove the PLC from the control panel. 

•

  Replace the battery. Take care of its correct orientation! 

•

  Slide the PLC into the opening in the control panel. 

•

  Put back the orange mounts 5.4/1 and tighten the fixing screws.
