Software
Your SMART Podium 500 series interactive pen display includes either SMART Notebook™
collaborative learning software or SMART Meeting Pro™ software. To use all the features of your
interactive pen display described in this guide, go to smarttech.com/software and ensure that you
have the latest version of SMART software and SMART Product Drivers installed on your computer.
You can also use your SMART Podium 500 series interactive pen display with a SMART GoWire™
auto-launch cable with SMART Meeting Pro software.
Tethered pen and magnetic pen rest
Control your computer and comfortably write over any application from the interactive pen display
using the ergonomic soft-grip tethered pen. You can rest your hand naturally on the interactive display
as you write in SMART Ink since the tethered pen is your interactive point of contact on the screen.
The tethered pen is battery-free so you never incur additional costs for replacement batteries.
Securely rest the tethered pen in the magnetic pen rest when you’ve finished writing so that you
always know where to locate the tethered pen.
SMART Ink
SMART Inksmoothes out the appearance of the digital ink, which improves the legibility of your
handwriting as you write over applications, websites and videos.
Illuminated buttons
Using the illuminated buttons on your interactive pen display, you can set the current function of the
tethered pen and instantly start SMART software programs. The buttons on the frame are backlit for
easy recognition. When you press the Pen Colour , Eraser or Select button, the backlight brightens
to indicate the active button.
Smooth Tilt Stand
Easily adjust the height of your interactive pen display by pressing the lever on the Smooth Tilt Stand
to recline the angle of the unit.
