CONTINUITY TEST (Ohms)
Verify continuity/resistance of the EV1 pilot coil. Carefully disconnect the orange wire (by pulling straight out) from EV1,
place one lead on exposed tab, the other to valve body. It should read approximately 340 ohms (+/- 20 ohms). If there is
no continuity or high/low resistance—replace the valve.

VOLTS DC TEST (VDC)
Set meter to Volts DC in a range of 10V or greater and ensure all connections are made to valve and IFC. Place one
probe to the EV1 terminal (orange) and one probe to the valve body (ground). Turn pilot on and watch meter carefully, for
approximately 2 seconds the voltage should read 4 – 6 VDC then drop to .5 – 1 VDC. If there is voltage but the valve does
not open, replace the valve – if there is no voltage, replace the IFC.
