1.) Does the remote handheld have power? The screen will light up when any
button is pressed; if low battery is indicated on the screen replace batteries.
2.) Does the receiver have power? If using batteries ensure fresh batteries are
installed with correct polarity. Receiver will “beep” once when battery door
closed.

Otherwise move to next step.
3.) Ensure the remote receiver is in the Remote (Center) position.

4.) When a command is made on the remote handheld the receiver will produce a
single “beep” in response. If no “beep” is made by the receiver ensure the
remote and receiver are paired together with the following steps; set receiver
slide switch to middle (remote) position. Turn remote hand held off. Use a fine
point such as a paper clip and press the “PRG” button on the receiver. This will
produce three beeps, next press the “On” button on the remote hand held. This
will produce another three beeps indicating the sequence is complete.

5.) Is the remote handheld in thermostatic mode? If so ensure the set point is
above the room temperature.

6.) Is the unit in lockout? When locked out the red LED next to the SW1 button on
the IFC will pulse three times in intervals. To clear lockout remove unit from
power for 30 seconds and re-connect.
See error codes pg. 5.
7.) Check receiver wire harness connection. 14 pin Molex should be fully seated
into back of receiver.

1.) Ensure unit main switch (if used) and remote hand held are both in the ON position.

2.) Ensure the IFC is not in lock out, if three trials for ignition have failed the unit will go
into lockout. Check the red LED light beside the SW1 switch for an error code (

page 5).
If in lockout the red LED will pulse three times at intervals. To clear lockout
remove power from IFC for 30 seconds and re-connect.
3.) The IFC will produce a “Beep” when any command is made on the remote. If no beep,
remote is not paired to the IFC or the remote is out of range. To pair remote to IFC
press the red SW1 button on the IFC

, the IFC will beep three times, then
within 20 seconds press the ON (top) button on the remote hand held.

The IFC will “beep” 3 more times if the sequence is successful. If the sequence is not
completed within 20 seconds or the SW1 button is pressed twice the remote will be
divorced and the system will be operating by manual on/off switch only.
