Over tightening the thermocouple and or Interrupter block can cause damage to the thermocouple by reducing the available surface
area, resulting in high resistance. It is also possible to damage the insulating washer at the base. Both can lead to pilot drop out
and or nuisance shut downs. When installing Interrupter block and Thermocouple tighten by hand only, and then ONLY ¼ - ½ ad-
ditional turn by wrench. (See Diagram 3 & 4a).
If damage visible, replace thermocouple.

Manual operation. The GV60 can be operated manually with no batteries or AC power. This process can also be used to purge
the pilot tube.
Turn MANUAL knob to MAN.
Insert small tool and depress the plunger. Light pilot and hold plunger for 10 seconds. Turn knob back to ON.
