Is there a spark at
the pilot hood?
1.) Ensure the fireplace has power. If using AC adaptor verify that it is
properly connected to receiver. (See Diagram 1) If not, connect and
re-test. If no change, test output. Set meter to volts DC in lowest
range above 10 VDC and place + (positive) probe on pin 1 of the 5 pin
connector at the receiver and – (negative) probe to ground (See
Diagram 1a.) Should be 5 -7 VDC. If not test AC adaptor. Set meter to
VDC in lowest setting above 10 VDC. Place one probe inside plug tip,
other probe to exterior of plug (See Diagram 1b.) Approx. 6 -7 VDC. If
not, replace AC adaptor.
2.) If battery power only, receiver will beep rapidly for 3 seconds when
started if batteries are low. Check battery output using same test as
Step 1. (See Diagram 1a) Should be a minimum of 5 VDC. If not,
replace with new high quality batteries. Ensure batteries are installed
with correct polarity. (See Diagram 1c.) Test fire.
3.) Remote and receiver may not be paired. On receiver using a fine
point, hold the “RESET” button until 2 beeps are heard. (Diagram 2)
Within 20 seconds press the flame down button on the
Handheld/Transmitter (Diagram 2a) and hold until one long beep is
heard. Test fire again.
4.) Receiver fuse may be tripped. Receiver has auto re-setting “poly
fuse” Ensure the Receiver antenna and spark electrode wire are
separated and
not crossed. (See Diagram 3) If so, separate, wait 5
minutes for fuse to reset, and test fire again.
5.)
If the thermocouple is loose, overtightened, damaged, or making
poor contact with the interrupter block there will be a 3 second long
solid tone from the receiver. (see Diagram 4) If loose, tighten by
hand, and then— ½ turn only. If damage visible replace
thermocouple. Also check connectors to interrupter block are not
touching.

Upon call for heat there will be a series of seven (7) “beeps” and a solid “clunk”. This is normal.
1.) No fuel available. Check for closed shut-off valve to fireplace, and
open if necessary. (See Diagram 5) For manual operation & test
for fuel.
2.) If new gas line has been run it may need to be purged. Consult
local Gas code for procedure.
3.) Red thermocouple wire and Yellow switch wire to receiver may be
crossed. Receiver side is color coded, attach Red to Red, Yellow to
Yellow and test again. (See Diagram #6)
4.) Test for power to valve on call for heat. Set meter to mV DC in
lowest range possible. Place (+) probe on spade connector of
Yellow wire connected to receiver. Place (-) probe to valve ground.
Turn fireplace on, meter should read 5 – 6 mV DC. (See Diagram
7) If NO power out, back interrupter block off ¼ turn and test
again. If low power out check power in to receiver. (See Diagram
1a) If power is available to receiver but no power out on call for
heat, replace receiver.
