Replacing the filter cartridge on the filter unit
Only carry out this servicing duty on instruments with an optional filter unit.

Union nuts
Filter housing with fine filter:
0.5 µm (DOC 254)
0.3 µm (Nitrate)
Filter housing with coarse filter 20 µm
The following procedure describes how to replace the water filter on the filter unit:

1.
Stop the sample feed.
2.
Remove the union nut (Figure 23, pos. 2) using
the supplied special wrench.
3.
Remove the corresponding filter housing
(Figure 23, pos. 3/4) and replace the old filter
cartridge with a new one.
4.
Fasten the corresponding filter housing (Figure
23, pos. 3/4) back in place on the filter unit
(Figure 23, pos. 1) with the union nut (Figure
23, pos. 2) using the special wrench.
Ensure that the seal on the
filter housing is correctly mounted.
5.
The instrument is now ready for operation
again.
