P r o g r a m m i n g W a t e r H a r d n e s s

The DESCALING NEEDED - PRESS OK TO START

(~45 min)

message is displayed after a period of

time established according to w ater hardness.
The appliance default is pre-set in manufacturing at

" level 4" hardness.
The machine can also be programmed according

to the hardness of the mains w ater in the various

regions so that the machine needs to be de-scaled

less often.

M e a s u r i n g w a t e r h a r d n e s s

Remove the " Total hardness test" indicator paper

provided from its packaging, attached to the

instructions.

Immerse the paper completely in a glass of

w ater for about one second.

Remove the paper from the w ater and shake

lightly. After about a minute, 1, 2, 3, or 4 red

squares form, depending on the hardness of the

w ater. Each square corresponds to one level.

slightly hard w ater - level. 2

hard w ater - level. 3

very hard w ater - level. 4

w ater hardness setting.
