MAINTENANCE

C l e a n i n g t h e d r i p t r a y

C AU TION

The drip tray is fitted w ith a level indicator (red)

show ing the level of w ater it contains. Before the

indicator protrudes from the cup tray, the drip

tray must be emptied and cleaned, otherw ise

the w ater may flow over the edge and damage

the appliance, the surface it rests on or the

surrounding area. To remove the drip tray,

proceed as follow s.

Open the door and remove the drip tray and

coffee grounds container.

Empty the drip tray and grounds container

and w ash them.

Replace the drip tray complete w ith grounds

container.

W AR NING

Before cleaning internal parts, the machine must

be turned off (see section “Turning the appliance

off”) and unplugged from the mains pow er supply.
Never immerse the coffee machine in w ater.

Check regularly (about once a month) that

the inside of the appliance (accessible after

removing the drip tray) is not dirty.

If necessary, remove coffee deposits w ith the

brush supplied and a sponge. Remove all the

residues w ith a vacuum cleaner.

C l e a n i n g t h e w a t e r t a n k

Clean the w ater tank regularly (about once a

month) and w henever you replace the w ater

softener filter (if provided) w ith a damp cloth and

a small amount of mild w ashing up liquid. Rinse

carefully before filling and replacing the tank.

Remove the filter (if present) and rinse w ith

running w ater.

Replace the filter (if provided), fill the tank w ith

fresh w ater and replace the tank.

(Models w ith w ater softener filter only) Deliver

about 500 ml of hot w ater to reactivate the filter.

C l e a n i n g t h e c o f f e e s p o u t s

Clean the coffee spouts regularly w ith a sponge

or cloth.

Check that the holes in the coffee spouts are not

blocked. If necessary, remove coffee deposits

w ith a toothpick.

C l e a n i n g t h e p r e - g r o u n d c o f f e e

f u n n e l

Check regularly (about once a month ) that the pre-

ground coffee funnel is not blocked. If necessary,

remove coffee deposits w ith the brush (C5) supplied.
