Modularity of the converter system

Main components of the frequency inverter

Each SINAMICS G120 frequency inverter comprises a

Control Unit and Power Module. In the SINAMICS

G120 range, the Control Units can be combined with

any Power Module.

•

The Control Unit controls and monitors the Power

Module and the connected motor in various different

control modes (which can be selected as required).

It supports communication with a local or central

controller as well as with monitoring devices.

•

The Power Modules are available for motors with an

output range of between 0.37 kW and 132 kW. IGBT

technology and pulse-width modulation are used to

ensure reliable and flexible motor operation.
