FM 453 Servo Drive / Step Drive Positioning Module

When starting up the machine axis, it is important to proceed step by step in
a specified sequence. Depending on the parameterized control mode (MD16)
and depending on your own application, certain steps have to be carried out
as listed in the following table. It is important to note, in this context, the
important role that the diagnostics functions (steps 10 to 12) play in safe-
guarding the functions of the FM 453 in interaction with your machine axis.
