Planning

3.12.1

LMS system requirements

For commissioning and operating the LMS, the following are required:

•

LMS500: Supply voltage DC 19.2 … 28.8 V, generated as per IEC 60364

(VDE 0100, part 410), output power minimum 24 W

•

LMS511: Supply voltage DC 19.2 … 28.8 V, generated as per IEC 60364

(VDE 0100, part 410), output power minimum 24 W.
Supply voltage for the heating DC 24 V, output power minimum 50 W (cyclic)

•

Data interface RS

232/RS-422, Ethernet and USB (optional, in case several LMS are

connected together in a network)

•

PC with operating system Windows 2000™, Windows XP™ or Windows Vista™ (see also

section 6.2.1 “System requirements for SOPAS ET” on page 58

)

3.12.2

Mounting requirements

The LMS must be mounted as follows:

•

robust

•

as far as possible without shocks

•

as far as possible without vibration

•

protected from direct sunlight and heat sources

Mounting kits

The following mounting kits are available:

•

mounting kit 1: mounting bracket for mounting at the rear on wall or machine (see

Fig. 49 on page 72

)

•

mounting kit 2: mounting bracket, only in conjunction with mounting bracket 1, cross-
wise adjustment possible (see

Fig. 50 on page 73

)

•

mounting kit 3: mounting plate, only in conjunction with mounting bracket 1 and 2,
length-wise adjustment possible (see

Fig. 51 on page 74

)

•

mounting with the Heavy Duty mounting bracket (see

Fig. 51 on page 74

)

Mount the LMS such that it is not exposed to direct sunlight (if necessary fit canopy). In this
way an inadmissible increase in the temperature inside the system is avoided.
