b
Connect, e.g.,
one or more reset buttons to the non-safe inputs (AUX_IN) of the
Flexi Loop nodes FLN-EMSS1100108 or FLN-OSSD1100108.
b
Connect, e.g.,
one or more signal lamps to the non-safe outputs (AUX_OUT) of the
Flexi Loop nodes FLN-EMSS1100108 or FLN-OSSD1100108.
b
If you are using other non-safe inputs (AUX_IN) of the Flexi Loop nodes for pur‐
poses other than a reset, check that they do not fulfill a reset condition

Reset with the Flexi Classic safety controller
DANGER
Connect an additional control switch for the purpose of restarting the machine down‐
stream of and external to the system configuration comprising Flexi Loop and Flexi Clas‐
sic safety controller.
DANGER
If you are using other non-safe inputs (AUX_IN) of the Flexi Loop nodes for purposes
other than a reset, check that they do not fulfill a reset condition. Use IO-Link to mask
these nodes, for example, so that the
AUX_IN TO MSTR AUX_OUT
parameter is switched off

see "Configuration of the Flexi Loop nodes", page 58
Prerequisites
b
If you connect the reset pushbutton to a safe sensor cascade and want to inte‐
grate this button into a Flexi Classic safety controller, then use the MSTR2 Flexi
Loop accessory.
b
Use its standard I/O functions with factory settings without data communication
via IO-Link (
see "Operating principle on Flexi Classic", page 17
b
Connect one or more reset buttons to the non-safe inputs on the FLN-
EMSS1100108 or FLN-OSSD1100108 Flexi Loop nodes. All non-safe inputs
(AUX_IN) act on the non-safe output (AUX_OUT) of the MSTR2 Flexi Loop acces‐
sory.
b
Integrate this signal into the reset function of the Flexi Classic safety controller.
Follow the instructions for resets and external device monitoring in the “Flexi Clas‐
sic Modular Safety Controller” operating instructions, part no. 8011737.
5)
To perform a reset, press and release the reset button. This action generates a high-active pulse lasting at least 100 ms but no longer
than 30 s.
