IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR INSTALLERS

Installing a MagiQtouch (TQ) heater to an existing compatible FEAC

The purpose of this bulletin is to advise installers of the correct procedure to follow when

installing a NEW TQ Ducted Gas Heater to an EXISTING MagIQtouch Evaporative

cooler.

• The latest TQ heater compatible MagIQtouch controller is supplied with every TQ heater. It is

important that these are used and any existing EXQ, EXS, LCQ or LCS Evap controllers with a

software version of Pre - 21R0315 are removed, as they are not suitable for heater operation

(refer tech bulletin A02/15).

• IMPORTANT!!! Before disconnecting the MagIQtouch controller from the existing EXQ, EXS,

LCQ or LCS evaporative cooler. With the controller powered up in stand-by mode use the rear

reset button and perform a “RESET WHOLE SYSTEM” on the cooler.

• Then after a “RESET WHOLE SYSTEM” is done, disconnect and put aside original evaporative

cooler MagIQtouch controller, as this is not compatible and cannot be used on a TQ heater.

• Connect ALL components and wiring looms including the new heater/cooler compatible

MagIQtouch controller as per the installation manual. NB: ALL components refer to the heater,

the cooler, zones boards, air sensors or slave controllers.

• Ensure you have correctly set the dip switches on the zone card(s) and link module as specified

in the installation manual.

• When the above has been completed the system (heater and cooler) must be powered up at the

same time.

• Continue with the installation Wizard, treating it as an “ALL NEW SYSTEM” and follow the

onscreen prompts to configure the system.
