Source exhaust drain bottle
The drain bottle might be located at the side of the mass spectrometer
in the drain bottle holder. Make sure that the bottle is secured to prevent
spillage.

Source exhaust connection to the mass spectrometer: 1.6 cm
(0.625 inch) i.d.
Note:
Source exhaust hose connections at the drain bottle, mass spectrometer, and the lab
vent are secured with hose clamps.
3. If applicable, lift the drain bottle out of the holder.
4. Disconnect the hoses from the cap.
5. Remove the cap from the drain bottle.
6. Empty the drain bottle and then dispose of the waste according to laboratory procedures
and local waste regulations.
7. Install the cap on the bottle and then put the bottle in the holder.
8. Attach the hoses to the cap and then secure them tightly with clamps.
Inspect the Roughing Pump Oil Level
Inspect the sight glass on the roughing pump to verify that the oil is above the minimum level.
If the oil is below the minimum level, then contact the Qualified Maintenance Person (QMP) or
SCIEX Field Service Employee (FSE).
