4.3 Tyres and hoses
The tyres on the tricycle must always have
sufficient air pressure, otherwise the tyres
may puncture and the rims may be dama-
ged, or the riding characteristics negati-
vely influenced. The minimum and maximum
tyre pressure is indicated on the casing (
A
).
If the tyre tread only depresses slightly on
being pressed forcefully with the thumbs, the
tyre pressure is correct. For exact values, use
a pressure gauge!
Check all tyres regularly and replace them immediately in case of damage or
wear!

If 1 and 2 occur, the reason may be a lack of brake grease. Ask your spe-
cialist dealer to grease the mechanism with special wheel brake grease.
After each adjustment of the wheel brake, carry out a brake test.
Frequent actuation of the wheel brake may cause the area around the brake to
heat up. After riding the tricycle, do not touch this area for at least 30 minutes.
On long downhill runs you should avoid slow braking, as the internal compo-
nents of the roller brake become very hot and the braking power drops. It can
also lead to a reduction in the amount of brake grease in the brake and this can
lead to problems such as abnormal sudden braking.
