3. E-drive.
3.1 Components
3.1.1 Motor
The
momo motion.
is equipped with a
rushless electric motor (
A
) as a power
source. This provides both a strong tor-
que in continuous operation as well as
considerable peak torques (for example
when starting). Mechanical losses are
negligible because the motor is desi-
gned without a gearbox.
3.1.2 Battery pack and charger
The battery pack (
B
) serves as the pow-
er source of the drive system “DirectPo-
wer”. The high capacity offers maximum
riding performance and range. A suitable charger (
C
) for charging the bat-
tery pack from the electrical mains is included in the scope of delivery of
the
momo motion.
3.1.3 Control housing and control
The electronic control is effectively the brain of the drive system. Its task is
to evaluate all signals and to control the motor, taking into account the set
parameters, so that it achieves the appropriate force. The control housing (
D
)
made of plastic reliably protects the controller against wetness and
moisture as well as against shocks and similar influences.
3.1.4 Display
The display (
E
) together with the operating unit is the control centre of
the drive system. For example, you can select the level of assistance or
recovery and make all other settings. In addition, you will receive all the re-
quired information about the operating status of the system, the distance
and the range.
3.1.5 Torque sensor
The torque sensor (
F
) is combined with the bottom bracket and is comple-
tely integrated. It supplies the signals of the pedaling torque, the pedaling
frequency and the direction of rotation of pedaling to the control. The tor-
que sensor is completely maintenance-free and requires no adjustment.
