Short List
Command
set_wobbel_control
Function
specifies laser control parameters for laser power variation with “freely definable wobbel
shapes”.
Call
set_wobbel_control( Ctrl, Value, MinValue, MaxValue )
Parameter
Ctrl
control parameter for initializing or deactivating laser power variation as an
unsigned 32-bit value:
= 1…6: specifies which signal parameter to vary: For more information, see
= 0 or > 6: deactivates laser power variation (for
Ctrl
> 6:
r
eturn code
RTC5_PARAM_ERROR
).
Value
Nominal laser power P0 (100%) as an unsigned 32-bit value.
For the allowed range, see
; the maximum is
[0 … 65535] or 0xFFFFFFFF. Excessive values will be clipped.
MinValue
,
MaxValue
Limits that can’t be exceeded, as unsigned 32-bit values (see
The allowed ranges depend on the selected
Ctrl
parameter and on
Value
.
Comments
• For
Ctrl
= 0 and
Ctrl
> 6, laser power variation will be switched off (initialization state
). The values for McBSP multi transfers will then not be used.
• The limits for
Value
,
MinValue
,
MaxValue
are the same as for automatic laser control (see
), but with a maximum of [0 … 65535]. Initialized values are
MinValue
= 0 and
MaxValue
= 0xFFFFFFFF, i.e. no restrictions.
• If you want variable laser power along a wobbel shape, then the command must
execute before you activate the “freely definable wobbel shape”. Otherwise, laser
power won’t be varied, even if you make a change in the data sets.
• Special case: if
Value
= 0xFFFFFFFF, then the nominal laser power will be derived from
the port assigned by the signal parameter
Ctrl
, instead of from the command. This will
then be the current content at this timepoint set via other normal commands, e.g.
for
Ctrl
= 1.
But beware: with execution of a “freely definable wobbel shape”, the value at the port
can change at any time. Subsequent calls of
will then return other
values for the nominal laser power.
