To enable the function, CP02 must be set to 4 (or 5) and the telephone numbers

of the provider (SMSC) and the mobile phone must be entered at CP07 and

CP08 (see Section 3.2).

When modem operation is enabled, an additional item appears in the display loop

to show the current modem status. The following displays may appear here:

Communication with device in as-delivered condition

The factory setting is MODBUS communication via RS485 (CP02=2). However,

the device does not have any valid Modbus address in the range 1 to 247 - the

address is set to 255.

You can communicate with an individual device via this address (which is invalid

according to the Modbus standard) using suitable software. Non-confi gured

devices can be communicated with and confi gured in this way using the Confi g-

equitherm program without having to set communication parameters on the

device beforehand.

It is not possible to use this function if several non-confi gured devices are

connected to a bus line. In this case, all devices must be switched off except for

one.
