CUSTOMER DATABASE COPY
DESCRIPTION:
Provides a means to copy the customer database to the media card (MCDB). This
enables the on board database to be copied to the media card (MCDB) and also
allows the media database to be copied to the on board memory (SYSDB). A daily
save can be programmed to automatically save the on board data base memory to
the media card. This ensures that an up to date database is always available in the
case of a catastrophic failure. A daily save time of 00:00 means there is no save
performed. It is recommended to CLEAR the media card before the system
database (SYSDB) is copied to it. When the system database is copied to the media
card there is no interruption in service. If the media card is copied to the system
database (SYSDB) the system will reset to accept the new data.
Section 1.3 SYSTEM MEMORY MANAGEMENT for details.
Note:
The MP10 uses DRAM memory for the system database (SYSDB).
The MP10a uses NAND flash memory for the system database (SYSDB).
