Starting & Driving
The EBD system is linked to the brake system warning
light on the instrument pack. For information on warning
light operation, refer to ‘Warning Lights and Indicators’ in
‘Instruments and Controls’. If this light illuminates while
driving, or remains illuminated after the ignition is turned
on and release parking brake, there is a fault with the
braking system, and EBD may not be available.
If this
occurs, stop the car as soon as safety permits and seek
an MG Authorised Repairer immediately. DO NOT drive
the car with the brake system warning light illuminated.
Electronic Brake Assist (EBA)
Your car is equipped with Electronic Brake Assist, which
reacts to the speed at which the brake pedal is applied. If,
in an emergency situation the brakes are applied faster than
the limits set within the system, then full ABS application is
applied to bring the car to a stop in the shortest possible
distance.
Hill Hold Control (HHC)
HHC can not hold the vehicle on hill in any
condition (for example
， ， ，
surface wet, snowy
or slope over 30% ),and can not substitute for
the attention of driver.
HHC can not substitute for parking brake
and just assist the vehicle to star on hill.
Prohibit the driver to leave the car as it may
lead to a serious accident when HHC enable.
The car may slide if it does not star at once
releasing the brake pedal. press down the
brake pedal or apply the parking brake.
Press down the brake pedal deeply for several
seconds before star the vehicle can avoid
sliding on hill.
HHC assists the driver to star the vehicle on hill and avoid
sliding.
The following conditions are fulfilled to activate HHC
：
• Stop the vehicle on hill with a slope over 4% more than
2 seconds.
