4 Insert the handset into the docking station and press
it to Position
Ⅲ
, then release the handset as soon as
the engine has started.
Note:
Continued use of the starter will not only
discharge the battery, but may damage the starter
motor, starter ring gear or catalytic converter.
Note: In the interest of fuel economy, it is advisable
to drive the vehicle as soon as possible after starting.
Remember that harsh acceleration, or labouring the
engine before the normal operational temperature has
been reached, can damage the engine.
DO NOT press the accelerator pedal while starting and
DO NOT operate the starter for more than 15 seconds at
a time. If the engine fails to start, remove the handset and
wait at least 10 seconds before trying again.
If the handset is not recognised by the engine
immobilisation system when it is inserted into the docking
station, the engine will be disabled, and ‘Engine Disabled’
with an warning icon will appear in the message centre
(
see Message Centre in Instruments and Controls
chapter
)

IMPORTANT
• If you try to start consecutively for 3 times and
it’s failed, please ask for help. If you try to start
consecutively, you must wait for at least 10 minutes
to make sure the engine has cooled and the battery
has restored. Otherwise it will damage the engine
and battery.
• Do not keep the docking station at Position
Ⅰ
or
Position
Ⅱ
for a long time while the engine stops,
which may discharge the battery due to the use of
electrical equipment.
• Your car is fitted with engine immobilisation system.
Any handset made privately cannot start the engine.
• Your car is controlled by electronic control
systems. If there are electromagnetic wave around
or any devices stuck on your car can generate
electromagnetic wave When starting the engine, it
may cause the electronic control systems of your
car being accidental activated.
