Starting & Driving
Never shift the lever from D into R or P gear
when vehicle is moving, otherwise it will
seriously damage the transmission or cause
accident hazard.
• P Park
In this position, the transmission is locked to prevent
vehicle from rolling. Select ONLY when the vehicle is
completely stationary and EPB is switched on.
Note: When parking the vehicle on incline, please
depress the brake pedal first, switch on the EPB and
then put gear lever into P position.
• R Reverse
Select ONLY when the vehicle is completely stationary
and the engine runs at idle speed.
• N Neutral
When the vehicle is stationary and the engine is idling
for a long time (i.e., when the vehicle is waiting for traffic
lights), select this position.
• D Drive
Select for all normal driving; fully automatic gear
changing occurs on all six forward gears, according to
vehicle speed and accelerator pedal position.
• W Winter Mode
When vehicle is running on a soft and slippy road
surface, select this mode.
• S Sport Mode
Located between '+' and '-', when you need better
acceleration performance, select this mode.
• + Upshift
In Tiptronic mode, upshift the transmission into an
adjacent high gear.
• - Downshift
In Tiptronic mode, downshift the transmission into an
adjacent low gear.
Note: When vehicle in Sport mode or Tiptronic
mode
