Roof assembly
The UTA protection roof for outdoor installation is supplied loose and it must be assembled by
the Customer on the place of installation making use of the provided materials and
accessories or, on request, it can be supplied pre-assembled.
For its assembly:
- put the roof element above the UTA
- carry out the drills on the perimeter on roof and frame profile at the same moment for the
fastening by means of self-tapping screws with washers.
- normally the fastening hole pitch is 50 cm approx.
- in case of windy resort, we suggest a pitch of 25 cm approx. and, in case of supply of pre-
assembled roof, the Customer must add another screw in intermediate position between the
screws already installed.
Equalizer assembly
The fan opening that sends air to a subsequent plenum which is followed by another component (e.g.: filter, silencer, etc.) is always
provided with an equalizer ensuring the even distribution of air.
This accessory is mounted directly in factory and no joint exists between the fan opening and the plenum, otherwise the equalizer is
supplied separately and it must be mounted by the Customer before joining the two sections.
Its assembly is very simple, for the fastening holes and screws are already pre-arranged.
Installation
The installation of the
TITAN
air handling units is always carried out by the Customer; therefore the following examples are to be
considered as indicative, in particular as concerns dimensioning and indications concerning the conformation of the systems that shall be
carried out according to the best technical procedures and in compliance with the Standards and laws in force.
Hydraulic connections
Generalities
The hydraulic connection to the heat exchangers (batteries), adductions and drains must be carried
out on the special couplings with no excessive torsion and without making the weight of pipelines
and valves or the thrust by heat expansion rest on them.
The pipeline route must never prevent the taking out of the internal components and the opening of
the inspection doors.
Always foresee some manual cut-off devices of the thermal carrier fluid in order to permit that the maintenance operations on the battery can
be carried out in total safety, for instance with no risk of scalds caused by heating batteries and with no condensate on cooling batteries.
Limit values for the water used in closed heating and cooling circuits
Parameter
Unit
Value
On open system (e.g. when using well
water), the water used should additionally
be cleaned of suspended matter by
means of a filter which should be located
in the inlet. Otherwise there is a risk of
erosion due to suspended matter.
You must also ensure that the unit is
protected from dust and other
substances that cause an acid or alkali
reaction when combined with water
