7 Function of the TC Plus
The devices connected to the
TC Plus can be remote swit-
ched or remote controlled via
telephone.
For switching and controlling
EIB devices, the following
principle of DTMF digit codes
is being used:
Device digit:
X Y Z
X
Device type
0 = conventional device
1 = EIB device
Y
Device number
1 to 6 (for conv. devices)
1 to 0 (for EIB devices)
Z
Function
0 = switch off
1 = switch on
# = state request
The device digit has 3 digits.
The device type (X) differs
between conventional device
(0) and EIB device (1).
The device number (Y) ranges
between 1 and 6, or between
1 and 0 (for EIB devices).
The last character (Z) defines
if the device state is suppo-
sed to be switched on or off
or if it is a state request (0, 1,
or #). For a summary of possi-
ble entries see table 5 on p.
77.

An alarm which is activated
while a phone connection is
existing, will be sent off not
before an existing connection
has been disconnected.
1 If the TC Plus is being used
within a PABX, it might be
necessary to switch the
PABX transparent to DTMF-
signals, so that the inco-
ming DTMF-signals will not
be processed by the PABX.
For further details see your
PABX operation manual.
