Loading Media

Basic

Operation

36

Attach the center and both ends of the media to the paper tube (core) using adhesive

tape (three locations in total).

While pulling the media so that it does not sag, secure the center of the media.

While pulling the media from the center toward the outer edges, and fix the left and

right edges.

When using the BACKWARD setting

When using the FORWARD setting

This completes the loading of the media.

When take-up starts, take care that the leading edge of the media does not get folded or bent.

When the media is cut (P. 55 "Cutting Off the Media"), the media is set free. Reload the media.

Remove when not using roll media. If roll media is left unused in a loaded state for an extended

period, the media will sag. This can cause poor printing quality and motor errors, so be sure to
remove and store the media when not in use.
