Maintenance
Generally the Double Sheet Detector R1000 L20 requires no special or regular maintenance.
The sensors must be checked at regular intervals for contamination and cleaned if necessary with
a conventional glass cleaner. The blow-off should be checked for proper operation.
10.1 Replacement of sensors
When replacing the sensor proceed as described in chapter 4.3 "Mounting of sensors" and chapter
8.4 "Measuring channel calibration".
10.2 Sensor cleaning
To prevent contamination of the sensors it is necessary to provide a continuous air blow-off, see
chapter 4.3.8 “Air blow-off for laser sensors”.
10.3 Device replacement
Device replacement with RPP7 software:
The L20 permits backup of the equipment parameters with the provided RPP7 software via the
USB interface (virtual RS232).
Device replacement without RPP7 software:
The current system configuration needs to be restored after a device replacement. To do this, use
the check list “System configuration” in chapter 13 Appendix”, which was filled out during
commissioning. If the form is missing or wasn’t completed, the data must be obtained from another
source such as plant documentation for example
.
10.4 Replacement of fuses
Attention
The fuse should be checked only by trained personnel,
since it is necessary to open the control unit.
The power supply fuse is 1 Amp slow blow. A spare fuse is located in the unit. The position of the
spare fuse is shown in the picture below. Fuses of the size 5×20 mm as well as fuses of the size
6,35×32 mm can be used.
