3.4 : PMC Connectors
This section details the signals on the PMC connectors as implemented on the VP3500.
The VP3500 supports two 64-bit, 133MHz PCI-X capable PMC slots. Each PMC slot (PCI bus) is
independent of the other and have their own PCIe to PCI bridge to maximize data throughput.
3.4.1 : PMC 1
There are four connectors for PMC site 1 on the VP3500, J11, J12, J13 and J14. J11, J12 and J13 make
up the standard 64-bit PCI-X bus and J14 has user defined IO signals which depends on what the PMC
card supports. The J14 IO signals are routed to backplane connector P3 per VITA 46.9 (P64s). Compare
Tables 25 & 26 to Table 20 below for J14 to see how these IO signals are mapped.
The tables on the following pages illustrate the pinout for the PMC 1 connectors as defined on the
VP3500.
